Summary: OK TV - Great for bedroom not as a home theather. 2008-05-25
Comment: Pros -
Good Picture and cheap.
PIP is great.
Cons -
Sometimes turns off while switching inputs. I have a Harmony 880 and they do not play nice together.
It does not save sound settings. If you use an AUX stereo you have to change the settings to external everytime you power up the TV.

Summary: BEWARE!!! NEVER BUY A WESTINHOUSE TV!!! 2007-09-06
Comment: I bought a westinhouse LCD TV for over $1600 and the tuner went out after just 2 years!!! You will be greatly dissatisfied with a Westinghouse product, even if bought at a reasonable price. I called the Westinghouse customer service department and they basically said that they weren't going to fix the problem. This is the last time I buy a product from Westinghouse.

Summary: Very bad sound problem 2007-06-03
Comment: We bought this TV with built in DVD specifically to have "night at the movies" on our patio with a number of neighbors. The sound when viewing TV is great, but when a DVD is playing it reduces to where you can't hear well at 100 % setting. I purchased an external speaker set, and result is same.

Summary: Very satisfied with the TV, plus a suggestion to fix volume issue mentioned below. 2007-02-26
Comment: I just purchased this TV myself and have been very pleased with it so far. The volume issue you talked about is the biggest problem that I have. If you forget to turn it down when going from a DVD back to TV, the volume will blow you away because there is so much difference between the two. But I recently signed up for digital cable (no HD yet in my area), and on the back of the cable box I noticed RCA-type output jacks in addition to the normal cable jack that I was using. I connected the RCA outputs to the TV and it seemed to slightly improve the picture, but most importantly the level of the audio signal is now about the same as the DVD player. I can now watch TV or a DVD at the same volume number. If you have a component (cable box, DVD player, etc.) that has other outputs, it would be worth a try to see if yours responds the same way mine did. Hope this helps!

Summary: Nice for the price, few quirks. 2007-02-14
Comment: Solid value for the price. I caught it for $800 at a local Sam's club. Within a day, they sold all four remaining units. It displays 1:1 pixel for pixel without overscan that many TVs do. Translated, that means on SD channels over the digital tuner you sometimes get a goofy white line at the top. On NBC HD, I get a solid yellow line on the left side that is annoying. Tech support says that's the way their TVs work and to just live with it. I confirmed by viewing the same behavior on two other Westinghouse models at Best Buy. I think they should issue an update to the firmware that allows addresses this issue. Color seems to switch a bit with the content but then that's where we are with the wide variety of programming and inputs. I am considering returning, but the price is about $700 less than anything in it's size range. Otherwise, seems like a good unit. If anyone comes up with a fix for the picture centering, let me know!!! Update, Westinghouse has entered a ticket for IAI tech support to come out and perform a firmware update. We'll see how that goes. Also, I am now using a HD satelite with HDMI connection to the set and the picture looks very good. I will likely keep the set now but sure hope to get the firmware (goofy menus) issue updated.
