The LC-30HV2U LCD TV combines the elegance of Sharp's AQUOS design with a widescreen, 30-inch Advanced Super View panel that's fully compatible with PCs and high-definition sources (including high-definition PC sources). The 1,280 x 768-resolution LC-30HV2U offers a 16:9 aspect ratio to match your favorite movies, as well as high-definition resolution (progressive-scan 720p). At a mere 3.55 inches deep, the set is perfect for wall mounting, though it comes with a table stand for desktop positioning. The set also includes detachable speakers with 10 watts per channel audio power. LCD screens offer a number of benefits over CRT monitors and televisions, including general ease of use, freedom from eye strain (no screen flickering or radiation emissions), quiet operation (no high-pitch "flyback" noise, an issue with CRT TVs), accurate image geometry (no curvature distortion or susceptibility to magnetic interference from, say, speakers), long screen life (with no risk of image burn-in), space savings, and light weight/easy positioning.
