Summary: Fix for polaroid tv 2008-08-27
Comment: Just so everyone knows there is now a fix you can do yourself that will cost under $5. Go to this webpage and a gentleman has his description of what he did to fix the tv. I just bought the parts today, but have not attempted to do the fix yet. There is a bout 50 people who have commented and the fiw worked for them. Hopefully anyone that has a problem will go there and attempt to do the fix themeselves.

Summary: Mine Broke Too! 2008-04-25
Comment: Owned the tv for 14 months and it automatically shut down one day. Now it wont turn back on. I replaced the fuse, still doesn't work. Only 12 month warranty, so I'm out of luck. Polaroid says I will have to pay to have repaired, or they offered to exchange for the same tv for $450. NO THANK YOU!!!

Summary: DO NOT BUY A POLAROID TV !!!!!! 2008-04-01
Comment: WARNING !!!! DO not even think of buying a polaroid tv they are poorly made and last for only 12-16 months. There are virtually no parts available for them and there is no I repeat NO customer service whatsoever. Don't be tempted because of the price. If you don't believe me search the web, there are literally thousands of dissatisfied customers.

Summary: NEVER BUY A POLAROID TV, BAD MAKERS 2007-12-14
Comment: NEVER, NEVER WILL I BUY POLARIOD PRODUCT AGAIN IN MY LIFE, NOT IN THIS LIFE, NOT IN MY NEXT 10 LIVES.

We bought a one from Circuit City in Nov 2005, it broke after 3 months, It just would not turn on. The power supply to the TV just broke. Since it was still under Warranty, we were told that they could repair it for us for free. We waited and waited for it, and I called about every week to find a status about it. Polaroid took a long time to get back to the repair people and finally about 3 months later, we got a call back from the repair shop saying that it was not possible to repair that and we were getting a new TV.

We got a replacement because it was was a manufactacturer's problem. I have owned many TV's in my life and never seen a TV break after 3 months. The replaced one worked for a while but well again, it is a manufacturer's problem, they manufacture faulty equipment so after a while it broke again. It was the power supply again, just like for almost everyone else. Now it is out of warranty so Polaroid is happy that they do not need to do anything.

I would HIGHLY, HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND THIS brand of TV to anyone, not even my worst enemy. PLEASE ALWAYS STICK TO SONY, PHILLIPS or the high quality ones. I think Polaroid should stick to Camera and not venture into lanes that they have no idea about. This is a faulty product and someone should take it off the shelves. They should not be allowed to sell or Manufacture any more of this faulty product that they are making money of off.

Please don't don't ever buy a Polaroid TV in your life, you will regret it. I am very unhappy and I really wish I could take it off the shelves completely.

Summary: 32" Flat Screen LCD HDTV - Biggest mistake I ever made 2007-10-17
Comment: Bought a 32" Flat panel LCD HDTV (FLM3232) from Circuit City on 10/26/06 that included a one year warranty. Approximately 2 months ago the TV started having severe picture distortion and color banding on entire screen. After contacting their warranty/customer service dept (1-866-289-5168) on 9/3/07, they stated they would mail out a control box and a service tech would be contacting us to install. We received the replacement part after 5 days but never contacted by the local service tech. After several calls (no less than 7!) over the course of 3 weeks, we were finally contacted by a service tech who installed the part. It did not help the problem, and after another 2 or 3 calls, another part was sent and installed by service tech. Again, this did not fix the problem, and after several more rounds (5-6) calls to the customer service number, I am still trying to resolve this issue. Dealing with their customer service has left me dumbfounded: from the rude and unprofessional customer service, the run-around, the hangups, the average wait time of 20-25 minutes for each of my calls to try to get this resolved. I have left messages for a supervisor on numerous occasions and never received a call back. After my last call, I think (or hope, anyway) that they will refund my money and honor their warranty. But... who knows at this point. I will NEVER consider spending money on any Polaroid product and think that it is incredible that Polaroid is using stall tactics to try and not remedy the situation, just hoping it will go away. Filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau about this TV that is supposedly under "warranty". Next step is the Florida Attorney General and the FTC. Disgusted. Unfortunately, I did not fully research brand (I was home on leave from Afghanistan, impulse buy) but doing a slow burn that I had to learn this lesson about Polaroid TVs by "throwing away" $800.00.....What a joke.

BUYER BEWARE, IT MIGHT WORK FOR AWHILE....THEN YOU ARE WILL HAVE MAJOR HEADACHES DEALING WITH THEIR NON-EXISTANT "WARRANTY" AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.
