It has a seven-inch color LCD screen with a 16-to-nine aspect ratio that gives you a beautiful and sharp color picture. The LCD screen swivels up to 180 degrees so you can view it easily from almost any angle in the room, and the screen folds flat for convenient storage when you are not using it. This set comes with a 181-channel cable-ready television tuner.

In addition to a TV tuner, the FCM-0700A incorporates a digital AM/FM stereo tuner that comes with 20 preset stations. The two 2.5-watt built-in stereo speakers deliver crisp, clear sound anywhere and everywhere, while the automatic channel programming makes setup incredibly easy. This unit also includes a built-in clock with a battery backup and an alarm and sleep timer.

With variable-height mounting, the FCM-700A will fit in virtually any cabinet and comes with an extremely handy, full-function remote control with a built-in magnet that allows you to store it upright on any metal surface, such as your refrigerator door. This Polaroid TV has a rear A/V input and a rear ANT coaxial input to connect to, allowing you to hook up a VCR, gaming console, or camcorder. Compact and unobtrusive, this unit weighs a modest 4.5 pounds and measures a slim three-inches high (with the screen in the up position), by 14-inches wide and 11.25 inches deep. The FCM-700A also features an on-screen display menu, sub-title selection, language selection, zoom, fast and slow forward/backward and step forward functions, and parental locks to make sure your kids don't watch inappropriate shows.

Summary: No problems with my FCM-0700A 2007-11-10
Comment: This all in one machine is as I would expect. Working in the video world - the mandatory 16:9 is survivable - it is used for what it was intended - flip down in the kitchen while working or cooking. My machine has been feeding the kids Disney Channel off the cable - or the weather channel for us reliably for almost a year with no issues. Maybe the SONY is a better cheaper and better sounding machine... but next to the stove and under the microwave... who cares?

Comment: Stopped working after 9 months. Tv went dark. Do not buy! Polaroid offers no support and will not replace after 3 months.

Comment: Got this 1 year ago and it has now completely died. Polaroid is not offering any type of "out of warranty" exception or offer because they no longer have the model available. The Polaroid rep. even admitted they knew there was a problem (a customer service no no) but offered no resolution. Very disappointing!! Will stay away from Polaroid brand electronics in the future.

Comment: Merry X-mas a year ago and now has quit completely. No power, no CD, but, we do not miss the extremely poor audio. Clock never did work and radio was un-useable. Never again.

Summary: Not working after 5 months! 2006-09-03
Comment: I purchased this product in March and it was no longer operative by August of 2006. I called the support center and they informed me to get a replacement I would have to pay to ship it back and then pay $60 for a replacement! I can't believe technology today. Are we such a disposable society now that our electronics are only gonna work for 6 months or less? Come on people we need to protest the substandards we are being subjected to since there is no longer any person that actually cares!!
