Summary: Cheap LCD that works 2007-09-17
Comment: Works fine in my dorm room, just put some duct tape over the insanely bright blue standby unless you want the whole room to light up.. nice picture and decent sound overall very good for price

Summary: Unbelievable quality at great price 2005-11-30
Comment: I bought this tv for my bedroom last week at another retailer. I was going from a 19 year old 13" tv (no, I don't know why I didn't upgrade sooner) to this 20" LCD.
I thought it was a good price, but was a little concerned that the quality might not be there because of its low price. But this was to be a second tv for my bedroom, so I was willing to give up a little on quality. But boy was I wrong...this tv is spectacular! Granted, I had to fool with the picture settings a little to get the brightness right, but the colors look just like my tube tv, if not better. The text on the screen is crisp and sharp and easy to read. I had such a hard time reading the scores on the football games with my bad eyes with my old tv that the improvement offered by this Norcent makes me think I have my old 20-15 vision back.
The only thing it's missing is Picture-in-picture. If it had that one feature I would be loving life and probably always watch tv in my bedroom.
There are so many connections in the back it's dizzying. I have the digital cable hooked into it now and will be hooking up the DVD player through the S-Video connection soon. I may also get component cables for my vcr, but that's not a priority since I don't watch much on VHS anymore.
The sound is good for such a cheap tv. It has SRS, but I haven't played any movies on it yet to check out the quality of the surround sound.
The other thing I was concerned about were dead pixels. But out of the box there is not even one. As one of my favorite movie quotes goes, "It's a thing of beauty!"
