Comment: Got this TV as a Christmas 07 present for somebody else. It started acting up after 4 months. Did not pay too much attention to it until July 08 when it was really not working. Sometimes the speakers made a cracking sound, sometimes there is picture but not sound. Sometimes there is not picture at all. Sometimes the TV does not respond to the remote control. Took it to the place where we bought it. They sent it out. Got a call that the Mainboard was bad. The parts are still under warranty (1Year) but the labor is only for 90 days. So to fix this unit will cost $179 for labor. What a joke. We paid $275 for it new and now we have to pay $179 to fix a practically new TV. I have not talked to Magnavox yet we will see if they will replace the unit or at least send me the mainboard and I will replace it myself. Depending on the outcome of the customer service call I may change my rating from 2 stars to maybe 4 stars. The upshot is that a 7 month old TV should still work as new and if it fails the manufacturer should either replace it of fix it for free. 90 day labor warranty is nonsense.
Leasons learned : I will review the warranties before buying something new. If Labor is less than 1 year will not buy item at all.
