Summary: LG customer service 2008-04-04
Comment: We bought this TV in May of 07. 3 months later the TV wouldn't come on. No power light would show up. Called and they said to disconnect for a hour to reset. Did that nothing happened. Waited half a day nothing happened. When we called to have service come out there were two places listed to do factory work. However one said that they only worked on those that they sold. Emailed LG and they said that it is a option that they give to the service centers. Called the one that would work on it and the appointment was 4 days out. They day they were to come we plugged it back in and it worked so the service call was canceled.
Now in March the same thing happened again. Called LG and they said they would send authorization to the one service center that would work on it. That evening the service center said they hadn't heard from LG and to give them a call. LG said it would take 24 hours, but it ended up taking them 72 hours even after we called the next day to follow up. Now the service center ordered the power supply and main circuit board and it has been 5 days and only one of them have come in. Until all the parts are in we will have to wait to make an appointment to have them come out and repair it. So I would have to guess that it will probably be another 3 to 4 days.
Needless to say LG isn't going to be bought for my house again and I don't recommend it to anybody. If by some chance you decide to take the plunge make sure that you have more than one service center that WILL actually work on your TV and not what they claim will work on it.

Summary: Total waste of money($$$$). Horrible LG support 2007-12-20
Comment: Bought this TV by end of Aug 2007 with 3 yr CC adv plan. It worked well for the first 3 weeks. Then came the screen going black. By the time I called in CC, it was out of the 30 days exchange warranty. After reporting to LG, the engineer arrived after a week to inspect the TV and to tell us that it's a known problem and the crystal has to be replaced. After 5 weeks he was back again to replace the crystal and to let us know that according to the LG bulletin, the problem is due the circuit board ( Knowing that I really don't know why he came with crystal). Inspite of the crystal replacement the TV was still getting black out. The circuit board was replaced after a week. After that the problem started to reoccurring with popping noise very frequently. Still the problem is not fixed as of Dec 20,2007.
Since 1st week of Oct, the TV is sitting in our living room as a $$$$ show piece . And we are without TV for the last 2+ months. I really don't understand how could a product not work for even a month . And LG doesn't want to replace it.
I wouldn't not recommend LG, they have serious quality issues and horrible/worst support (whatever you call it as). Better keep away from LG . Even if you have to pay a little extra more, go with Samsung/Sony . The time you spend running behind these jokers is not worth it.

Summary: Great HDTV for the price 2007-11-03
Comment: I have owned this TV for 3 months. I researched thoroughly before I purchased it and found it to be the best 37" 720p LCD for the price. I am happy with my purchase.
Pro's:
Excellent picture with HD sources.
Adequate remote.
Reliable brand name.
Good variety of connection options.
Con's:
Not so good picture with non-HD sources. However this is my 4th HDTV and they are all the same in this regard.
I have cable hooked directly into the TV (no cable box). The TV picks up about 8 digital cable channels. However, when flipping through the channels, you can only choose to surf HD channels OR non-HD channels.
I have my tv hooked to a 7.1 audio system and have a HD DVD player, which greatly adds to my enjoyment of the experience!
