ViewSonic VT2042 20 inch LCD TV HDTV/PC display combo TV

I bought my first Viewsonic LCD monitor when they first started getting popular about nine years ago. At that point Viewsonic was one of the top companys for LCD screens; I don't even want to tell you what I paid for a seventeen inch screen back then. The sales guy at Compusa said it was one of the best on the market and it would last a long time.
Well, nine years of constant use later it finally broke. I've got zero complaints, I've burned out tv's in half that time and I don't watch a lot of tv so I couldn't have been happier with the quality of the monitor.
The problem with my old screen when it finally broke was the picture went black, I've since had it repaired for just under fifty dollars so I could have waited before I bought a new one, but after staring at the same screen for nine years, no matter how nice it is I was ready for a change, and a wide screen.

The actual display is only 900 lines!

Even if it is directly downscaling to 900 lines (instead of 1080 > down to 720 > back up to 900 like some TVs), this is still a loss of quality and misleading advertising.

Update on December 5th: Thankfully, this product is now properly titled with the resolution, and no longer comes up in searches for 1080p HDTVs.
